MAKE-UP MODE MASTERCLASS - Where you learn the skills and gain the experience to start your career as a make-up artist!
Susan Markovic has worked in film, television and fashion makeup for 26 years and is the owner of Make-up Mode, a Sydney-based agency for Make-up Artists & Hair stylists. She is a judge at the International Beauty Expo in Sydney (bridal category) and in 2011 was a judge at the inaugural competition for professional makeup artists – Battle of the Brushes.
As well as freelancing in fashion, Susan has taught extensively at various makeup colleges in Sydney. This includes a five-year stint at The Art & Technology of Make-up College (3Arts) with three of those years as Head Tutor/Course Coordinator. She is also a registered training officer who holds a Cert IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110
Susan now runs her own makeup school, MAKE-UP MODE MASTERCLASS – a school that finally focus’ only on fashion make-up. From editorial to catwalk, fashion or bridal, Make-up Mode Masterclass will cover the art, the technique as well as influences from make-up trends around the world.
Make-up Mode Masterclass’ main objective is: To raise the standard of make-up education in Australia – to do this the school will provide thorough and extensive hands-on training and mentoring to ensure our graduates are job ready.
Many of Susan’s previous students are forging a name for themselves as freelance make-up artists around Australia, others are being snapped up by MAC Cosmetics and some as assistants with leading make-up artists like Rae Morris.
Susan has also taught and mentored some emerging names you may recognise including Rachel Montgomery - 2011 Makeup Artist of the Year
